On January 7th , our first General Meeting of 2020, at the cozy Whistler Museum a $ 15,000.00 cheque was presented to Library Director Elizabeth Tracy. The fundraising team led by "show runner" Library Board Chair Bevin Health Ansley (shown on the far left) and Whistler Rotary's own Ken Martin (shown on the far right) worked above and beyond to achieve a fine financial outcome for the Wonder Lab project for the Whistler Library. The Blues at Dusty's Event was held in September and well received by the community. - Jumping backwards like a receding hair ( hare) line Friday January 3, our Rotary Club of Whistler 2020 working committee group held a meeting at the TD Board Room to establish a list of Events we will undertake in 2020. Some items may be added however we have a good start on this years plans.
- Our first Board Meeting of the Rotary Club of Whistler was held on Thursday January 9th 2020. Unfortunately our Secretary Gill Forester had broken her collar bone and was missed by the group.
January 14th at the Whistler Museum Erika Durlacher, a cherished member of our club, will present to us about her determined safari and soulful climb up the 19,340 foot or 5895 meter Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
