We had an amazing dinner at the Alpine Cafe on March 26th started with the singing of O Canada. Quarters were cozy so to speak, but the never fail "homey" atmosphere and great service cultivated a very fine time that was interesting and satisfying. After chowing down on an excellent soup, then salad followed by home made Chicken Cordon Blu with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables - Peter Alder presented drawings and a feasibility study for the Whistler Community Chapel.
The land is donated and located near the Olympic Rings in the Creekside location of Whistler, The drawings of the building are complete and the stored glass works engineered into the plans. It appears one will be able drive up to the location or hike from the Creekside parking lot. The cost is $ 2.5 million.
A donation platform is available. Peter is to send us the details.
