Why are we doing this?   Firstly - to have fun! But also to raise some funds to help us build the Rotary Viewing Platform along the new section of the Valley Trail along the wetlands between Alta Lake Road and Function. We hope to acquire most of our needs by donation but will need funds for some purchases. We have many willing hands itching to get started on this and complete it this summer.

The plan for the evening-
6.30 logon opens.
We hope you enjoy your wine throughout the evening.
6.45 Lorne will talk to us about the Pentage wines that are recommended for the evening and which you are able to purchase at a discount price courtesy of Whistler Liquor Store at Rainbow.
Pentage is a boutique farm-gate winery nestled on 35 acres overlooking Skaha Lake in Penticton. Julie and Paul have 2 vineyards that are hand tended and picked to produce top-quality grapes that are essential in the creation of hand-crafted, limited-release world-class wines. So far I have tried the Gamay Noir and the Pinot Gris and they are excellent.
7.00 pm the painting session begins. Cary from Paintertainmentwill lead us in creating a wonderful (we hope it turns out wonderful) painting of a Whistler Rotary Bear.
CaryPaulo together are the creative force behind PAINTERTAINMENT. They started out creating the most fabulous walking art for large events. With Covid, they have diversified and one of their new activities has been online painting lessons. The wonderful paintings by Ken Martin of their family pets are a testament to their skill in teaching, and of course Ken's hidden talent.
8.45ish!  We have our Raffle with lots of great prizes as always, followed by a Live Auction. We will send you info about the auction items as we gather them.

I look forward to joining with lots of you to create my special Rotary Bear and have fun!
